Hello everyone,

I recently posted an entry and I wrote "Moving forward you can expect one chapter per month with or without illustrations." I can't do that. I wanted to, but I just can't. Chapter 3 is going to be a major release for us and I can't let my standards fall right when it's getting good. It's not easy having to put up all the financials for the novel, but I can't bring myself to not offer the best experience that I can afford right now. Maybe there'll be more support in the future so I can give you all even more. We have so many ideas still cooking...This is just the start :)

The new sprite set will be done soon. I know I've been saying this for a while, but it's not an easy task to redo 10+ sprites in one month and to start sketching for illustrations as well. Please give a follow to Rlion if you can. He's doing his best while also having his studies, and I'm sure a lot more, to take care of. He's working hard for Light My Way and he deserves the praise. Good job Rlion! You're really putting in the effort and they are not going unnoticed.

I do hope I will get a secondary artist for the illustrations though. There are other plans that might take up even more time from Rlion in the next chapters. We have someone lined up, and hopefully, it will work out. 

Tito has been re-doing some stuff from previous chapters, editing, coding, reviewing, offering ideas, and fixing everything even before it breaks. That's a lot of passion and determination. The cat's efforts also haven't gone unnoticed either. 

As for me, I have not had a great time in my personal life, but that hasn't stopped me from putting in the hours every day for Light My Way. I've been working on practically everything that has to do with anything regarding the novel. Being the art director, sound director, all the directors...is a full-time job by itself. I spend a large amount of time working on the novel, but it does make me happy too, so I'll keep on keeping :) 

And as for our future team members, I hope they  will be just as enthusiastic about Light My Way as we all are right now.

"Chapter 3 - Thousand", promises a change of pace. Things will move away from the "slice of life" style and get into the core of the actual theme, which is thriller. I think it's going to be a make-or-break for people who will read it. That's not to say that it will just be a thriller, because there are already plenty of other subplots open for exploration. 

What I'm actually trying to say is that I wanted to create something different than the usual romance VNs. I have a soft spot for a particular wolf just like most people who read furry VNs, but I felt like re-telling such a story with different characters in a different setting wouldn't be anything special. I initially planned on creating something similar to the multitude of romance VNs, but the story kept pushing in a different direction. By the time I wrote 25k words, the novel had a life of its own and it kept growing and growing. Now, at about 100k words, it's a big enough novel that needs to find its ending. I'm still working on that, but I'm also not in a hurry to finalize it. We'll see about it as we move from chapter to chapter. Honestly, I can't wait to get to my favorite ones. I wrote something that even now when I re-read it, it hits just as good as the first time. Maybe it's just me, but I really like this one specific chapter more than any of the other ones. I'm fairly certain it's personal preference, but I am curious about how others will react to it.

I also wanted to mention the origin of the novel. When I came up with the idea of the light theme, I had just had laser eye surgery. I was sensitive to light for about a week and even now I still have some issues, so I always wear sunglasses when it's sunny outside. I thought about creating something along those lines and so, Light My Way was born. It did have a much more NSFW idea about it at the start because I thought that was the main way to get support for it, but, as I said, the story just took over and refused to cooperate with me on the naughty front. I'm glad it turned out the way it did and I wouldn't change it for anything. That's a small tidbit I wanted to share with you all. There's more to come and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Please have more patience for Chapter 3. We might not be able to release it in 5-6 days. In fact, I'm sure we won't. But all I can say is that the wait will be well worth it even if it's going to be only one chapter coming out. I added a spoiler for Chapter 3 so you can see what we've been working on. Thank you for the support so far! It means a lot to me.
