Vibes - Now available for download

Hey everyone,

We finished Vibes. It was meant to be part of Novembuck 2025, but we went over the deadline. To be honest, I don't know if our work would have been accepted anyway since we did use AI for the background sketches. However, if you would like to read a short story about what happens when Rowan leaves Kazuul, we've got you.

In hindsight, I could have written this differently. Had I not been focused on Novembuck, I could have made the story flow a different way. One thing you'll notice immediately is the lack of a sprite for Rowan. I purposely left it out because I wanted to obey the rules of the jam, where we could only use assets created during the event. Now...we could actually put in Rowan's sprite from Graven on the screen. We'll keep it as it is for now and see how the mood is later on.

Truth be told, I spent much more time doing real-life work than writing the past month. Black Friday was hard on me, and prior to that, I had a lot more issues that needed my immediate attention. Last month also marked 2 years since my mom passed away, so it was kind of a bad month to try to achieve a lot. 

But everything is considerably better than it used to be. I have gotten a lot of my groove back and have been putting in the effort again. Most recently, I've been fiddling with "The Swimmer." I'm hopeful for that one since I used a different narration style, trying to dig deeper into the bag of tricks writers can have. 

For now, though: Vibes. Short and sweet.
